A jury deliberated over two days to reach the guilty verdict in May Other criminal trials include two relating to his alleged efforts to overturn his election loss and one about whether Trump mishandled classified documents by taking them to his Florida residence. The former president was speaking at an event in Butler Pennsylvania on Saturday 13 July when shots were fired among the crowd and a bullet hit his right ear.
Trump was then quickly bundled off the stage by Secret Service and blood was seen strewn across his face. The shots killed one spectator at the rally and critically wounded others. I'm glad it is all here, documented, for young adults the book is marketed for kids from age I'm also glad that she's included information about Native people.
On page 98 she provides an account of trump's I do not use a capital letter for his name testimony at a hearing in Congress, at the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Native American Affairs. She quotes him saying that "they don't look like Indians to me A few pages later, Brockenbrough provides readers with the name of another tribal nation.
Inthe Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians ended their contract with trump's hotel and casino company, because his company was in financial trouble. It is terrific to see Brockenbrough being tribally specific. By naming these nations, she is pushing back on a widespread ignorance in the US. Too many people use the word "Indians. Another good point of Unpresidented is information on pageabout tribal membership.
Succinctly, Brockenbrough writes that tribal nations make determinations about their citizens. What they look like doesn't matter. Another thing to note is the part about arrowheads! It tells us a lot about the trump family and its values. I recommend Unpresidented and welcome your comments if you read it. And--kudos to Brockenbrough for writing this book!
Reading the news every day is tough on my psyche. Spending the time necessary to write this very comprehensive and in-depth book must have taken a toll on her. Author 26 books 5, followers. Should be required reading not matter which side of the political spectrum you fall on. Brockenbrough lays out, neatly and concisely, Trump's story from his grandparents down to the late summer ofwhen it had to stop so the book could be printed.
Copious endnotes and bibliography show how meticulous her research is, rumor and speculation on the part of others, never her are clearly labeled, and it is full of direct quotes and even scans of important documents. Much of his life I knew, though I did not know that he was such a "little shit" as one teacher described him that he was essentially kicked out of school before he was even a teen because of his bad behavior.
What was really fascinating was to have the whole Russia issue laid out so clearly, in addition to having it all detailed in the text there are a couple of timelines and quick bios about the key players at the end of the book. Author 6 books 1, followers. An outstanding, thoroughly researched look at 45 and the legacy he built before and during his time as president.
I had known little of his history prior to the election -- I watched an episode of a docu-series on Netflix that really dug into that after -- but this book added so much more depth and understanding. Seeing this only covers through JulyI'm hoping there will be a followup at the end of 45's term. My only little critique is from a design perspective.
This is a really good looking book, but the pull quotes made little sense in how they were peppered throughout. They were overused and I knew pretty quickly they were pulled either from the line immediately above or below where they were laid out, which was distracting. It doesn't take away anything from the book itself, but it made me question the design choice since it felt unnecessary.

I found 52 pages contains over a thousand endnote sources plus a full and lengthy biography. Wow - now that is a thoroughly and carefully researched book. This is a full and complete biography of the sitting President that uses facts, and his own words and actions to paint a portrait of his character. A teen reader could follow this compelling biography with ease, but I would also highly recommend this for adults.

The drawback is that if one is already well-informed and looking for broad, balanced, and nuanced socio-political analysis of the Trump phenomena, this book will likely disappoint. Yesterday, I finished a thriller than featured a serial killer, gruesome details about torture and murder Martha has done a beautiful thing with this book and I hope every young adult library stocks it.
Katherine Moore. This biography of Donald Trump is as captivating as it is disturbing, and not surprisingly because sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction. Written with a young adult audience in mind, the tone and language is one that is pragmatic and clear for any reader, with care taken to keep out any opinion on the matters at hand which I expect was difficult.
A must for any school or home library that needs a concise and compulsive read about Donald Trump and his journey to the White House, spray tan and all.
Baddena biography of donald: We don't know who this
Martha Brockenbrough's Unpresidented tells the story of Donald Trump, from his family's journey to the United States, all the way to his first two years as president. It's written for young people, and I found it to be both compelling and accessible. Brockenbrough's foreword sets a fantastic tone for the entire book by highlighting how journalism and the truth play an important role in our democracy.
Her book successfully utilizes endnotes from video interviews, audio recordings, articles, public records, and books to synthesize a compelling narrative about this time in our history and Donald Trump as a child, business person, reality television personality, and President of The United States of America. Learning more about Donald Trump's childhood and business endeavors were the most informative aspects of the book for me personally, but I feel this book also serves as an important document for future young people interested in learning more about this time in our history, years from now.
